The European Rugby Champions Cup Final demands overlay infrastructure capable of transforming permanent football and multi-use stadia into fully operational rugby finals venues. From 2016 to 2020, Venue Architects was commissioned by European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) to provide overlay designs for the Heineken Cup Finals, delivering solutions across Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, St James' Park Newcastle, San Mamés Bilbao, Stade Vélodrome Marseille and the Pricipality Stadium Cardiff. Each venue presented distinct site constraints, requiring bespoke temporary infrastructure to meet the operational and commercial demands of European club rugby's showpiece event.
