Venue Architects developed a 2015 competition entry for a new citizen's gymnasium in Dalseong-gun, Daegu. The design embedded a sculptural white brick gymnasium box into the site's topography, wrapped by a lightweight glazed accommodation ribbon and a timber dia-grid roof. A entrance canopy framed views to an adjacent monument, while a landscaped, bio-diverse roof terrace extended green space into the surrounding parkland.
